Do you have time for your cat? Your cat has time for you

Kitty wants attention

Some cat owners know that their attention is valued quite highly by our tiny meowing household members. The cats may like to stand in front of you when you are at your computer table. Occasionally, standing is the minimum that they do in an effort to have you look at them, play with them, give them some sort of feedback. Cat food is not always their priority.

I’m busy

It’s understandable that the owner likely shoo’s them away. We are probably busy or working on something important that requires our undivided concentration in the computer/internet realm. Well, are we so busy? Ten minutes before is probably when you already shoo’d your cat away. All the kitties want is for you to be aware of them, acknowledge them, show appreciation for their mere presence.

The cat re-connection

As soon as the cat dancing maneuvers are successful to grab your attention, or maybe you just had a consciousness-shifting moment, finally you let go of the feeling of time and world demands as you see your cat’s eyes. Staring back at you is a wave of unconditional love. You hear the purring, the cat humming, and occasionally the simultaneous yawn interrupted by a meow squeak.

Ahhhh, that deep-breath moment for both the cat and for you where everything is perfect. You are looking at each other. At some point, everyone has to come back to their clock-full, normal day. Please remember you can visit this bubble of time-lessness with your cat anytime you wish, they are ready for it. Health side-effects may include a brief stint of stress reduction.
